Thursday I had a bagel with my mom over at Panera Bread, I then when home only to do about 5 hours of work followed by 3 or so hours of homework. Not the most exciting evening. I was supposed to run sound @ my church, but found some one to cover for me.
Friday Steve picked me up around 4 pm and we went to Andrew’s house, as his band practiced, as (I’ll explain later) they had their first ‘gig’ Saturday. (I hate the word gig, I will explain that later.) After the jamming we went over to Kevin’s house (lives’ across the street from Andrew, and is also in the band) where we ordered pizza for dinner. After quite the negations we decided to go to my place for a movie, instead of a Halo gaming night, or trying to go see the new (James) Bond movie. So friday night it was Steve, Emily, Kevin, Adam and I watching Duce Bigalow. After Steve took his girl friend home (Emily) he returned to spend the night at my house. We just played some Nintendo 64, and watched TV.
Saturday morning, we woke up around 9, and got ready, as my dad had Belgian Waffles made for us around 9:30. We then went to Andrew’s house as they did the final practice/jamming session before their performance at these twin 13 year old girl’s birthday part. After practice, we went to Kevin’s and played some Halo and some other games. Following that we went to some preschool that Kevin’s mom helped at, and we moved some things for them.
Steve and I then went to his place where originally a nap was planned, but we first indulged in some pizza and then watched the movie Rocket Man. To stay on time we packed up all the equipment and started our journy to this house where Steve’s band was performing at this birthday party. On the way we saw the car in front of us just about hit the largest Buck (Male deer) I have ever seen. He was just about 6′ tall not including his HUGE rack. Quite the fright. We arived at this house and meet up with Nate (extreme Yo-yo kid, my Homecoming/Sadie’s date’s brother) and Jenn (Nate’s Girl Friend). Nate was also performing at this birthday bash. All and all I would say it went really really well. Oh, and Steve is quite the (13 year old) ladies man! “Can I have a hug?!?!” “Sign my shirt?” “Do you have girlfriend?” “You’re hot!” are just a few key phrases I heard way to many times, oh and Steve must have gave 80 hugs (to about 30 girls, yes they wanted seconds and thirds.)
Following this we meet at Kevin’s house after we all unloaded the audio hardware at their respected homes. after another set of negations we went to Cold Stone for a dessert. (Included Steve, Emily, Adam, Andrew, Kevin, and me.) Then decided hot tubbing at my house sounded nice, but um, high school students/ teens are WAY to lazy, once they found the couch’s in my basement, no one moved or attempted the hot tub. We really just did some channel surfing, and watched some parts of movies. Soon came 11:30 when I guess most kid’s parents think their kids become pumpkins and need to be home for this dramatic experience. =-)
Wow, I don’t think I have been this productive on the couch for quite a while. (I am typing this right now on my Titanium wireless-ly on the couch.) I think I nap may be in order…
