Talent Show Tryout

Tuesday, October 21st, 2003

Yesterday after school I joined The Other Side of Even for their practice before going to the talent show tryouts at Columbine. I hung around and helped them pack up, unpack at the school, setup, takedown, pack, oh and mix some audio for their tryout. They did pretty good! If I get permission I may post like a 10 sec sample of them I recorded yesterday.

The trouble was that I head banged to the following band with Jay, Chris, Jason etc, and I have had a headache since. Now I don’t know if that means I did it right or I did it wrong. =-)

I leave you with a grand quote:
Shary “Matt! I had a dream with you in it last night, oh and we were in the Safari!” (Shary goes to lunch with Pat and I, and she is referring to the van I drive on occasion; a GMC Safari. [See Below])

…:::!| The Weekend |!:::…

Monday, October 20th, 2003

A great weekend, hung with some people I haven’t hung with for a while, and we had a lot of fun. (Chris Mulvany, Mike Oertli, Ben Delashmet, Jason…) Mike ended up spending the night saturday, after we had gone to the movie. It was also nice to have little/no homework, as all those tests on friday didn’t give much time to assign more work.

Mother was out of town for business again, this time in Texas. Father and I ate at Champps lunch both Saturday and Sunday (Sunday Mike joined us.)

‘Nuf said.

Ok, sites back in service.

I also posted the Iowa Adventure logs. I would recommend checking out “Iowa Adventure II Day 3: Fun Driving! Great Concert with a good story.”

The site was on a no-longer functioning box, and I had to some how extract my data and re-export it so I could upload it to the new server. Thought to be a basic task, but it was quite the challenge, in the end I basically had to replicate the last server, in a functioning state with my iMac locally, recreate users and such, and trick the files into thinking it was it’s last home. That then allowed me to export the database and get it here.

I am slacking with the pictures, I was playing with the idea of a dynamic photo gallery super cool and all, I don’t see it happening soon.
