Hangin’ right now at Solid Grounds with Molly. Good fun, good music.

New Digital Camera

Thursday, February 26th, 2004

I just placed an order for a Canon PowerShot S400 4MP Digital Camera. My current HP is held together by a rubber band… This should be a fun toy to play with, I think it will get quite a fair share of use.

Familiar Stranger in my Car

Thursday, February 26th, 2004

I am such a fool. I just got directions to the house next to mine. After I dropped Kevin off at his house after school I picked up a kid walking from Columbine. I try to find someone everyday but turns out to be about twice a week. Well he did look familiar. I kept looking over on why he looked so familiar, as I continued my standard protocol for passengers with “where do you live?” He never said anything to make me think otherwise. I started assuming as we reached the far corner of the neighborhood where I live… I don’t know if he thinks I was joking or a complete idiot. Oh my. (Yes, we hung out when we were in like um, 4. He had a clue though, he had to have known the beetle.)

Monday: Camera, Carputer, Young Life Club

Wednesday, February 25th, 2004

Got my cam sorta working. With the help of my time, dad, and a rubber band. My camera my still have an existence for another month.

Monday was a good day. I hung out with Nick Krut for a little bit. We had been talking about the construction of my carputer. Nick has paients, time, and is interested, I have money, and little time. I am paying him x amount to build an x computer, with my help. Not that he needs it, but so I still built it. The machine hopefully will move into the bug and be carputer. So far super good. My mother board came in today, (tuesday) and came with a super fast x86 processor. My HD should be in soon 80GB, yah that’s the story. I am quite excited about that.

*update* Nick just sent me a config file, he has setup a custom Boot Screen. yay!

While I was at Nick’s he showed me his family’s 78 yellow convertible super beetle. I am plotting now how to steal it. It needs a fair bit of love, but is not far off at all.

I had time to show off my geek setup to Nick, as I realized Young Life was at my house. Nick didn’t care to stay so I made it to my house as everyone else was arriving. I had some quick dinner and went down stairs. I laughed and laughed as I found Maggie Moret, Steve Dodrill, and Nick Reily. Usually at Young Life club, they have a ‘theme’ to dress up for club. This week club did not have a theme, but Maggie Steve and Nick took it upon themselves to make it Matt Matteson club. Steve had brought his power book, and wore black framed glasses, just like my powerbook and my new glasses. Nick had brought his brothers powerbook, and had on his glasses which really resembled my old titanium glasses. They all had on my clothes they had recently stole from my closet. It was so funny to see Maggie in my size 13 super hiking boots, I would have considered it a work out for her to wear those. I laughed and laughed and laughed. I got some pictures, but not great ones. Hopefully Maggie got some good ones on her disposable camera. Matt Matteson Club made me feel a little less hate against people.

There were some other good things from yesterday, I said I would write about today, but knowing me you know, I forgot.
