Thanksgiving week
Sunday, November 28th, 2004Thanksgiving doesn’t get me too excited, but a few days out of class does. Steve called, really enjoyed hearing from him. With Jeff Wh and Maggie he came up to Golden Monday night where we sat around. It was good to talk. Borrowing a movie from Luke we watched the, at first confusing, and later great, movie Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Made it to bed late, but what did I have to be up for? Oh yah- gym.
Tuesday was another great night, the initial plan consisted only of MIke Oer spending the night. I was hanging out in Weaver Towers with Lance and made it to my house late to meet Mike, Chris and some girl whose name I have since forgotten. As we hung out with Greg and Elana on our wonderful new couches the night became even more wonderful as Steve D and Lance joined us. The Safari was piloted by yours truly with the scenic and never predictable bowling alley. Waiting. Talking. Waiting. Three hours of bowling, Steve Lance and I had a lane.
Back at the house Steve departed ‘aye-sap’ to make it back to Littleton to great some other Thanksgiving Breakers. In my house Lance computed on my iBook, elaborating on his big-wheel dream, Mike with the goal of getting his iBook back to happy. I was distracted by the consistent dropping of internet. At this point Greg had stopped by Luke and I’s room hollering, offering to pick us up something from Taco bell, inviting us to join him to 24 hour fitness. I do believe he ended up at the gym. Lance was doing something early in the morning, so left my house around 2:30 I think. Mike and I then soon after crashed.
The nights are what I needed. I was placed in a good mood after this. I enjoyed the visitors. I enjoyed the calls, people caring. It was awesome.
Day before thanksgiving, CSU had the whole week off, Columbine had the day off. I didn’t. Ok, maybe I did, I only went to Calculus. I was just enjoying the afternoon, reading, doing laundry and the phone rang with the smile inducing invitation of shoe shopping with the company of Lance. Driving, and shoe shopping. Lance and I drove to some mall way out nowhere. He was just looking for something for nothing. I didn’t mind. The trouble was I didn’t know the shopping was padded with plenty of miles of driving. Tim had made it to town and we were going to have a family dinner. I can’t make it back in time! Lance found some killer shoes. I could ramble about them. I won’t. He has a weblog maybe he will. We’ll on the return, a few misguided in the black rocket Lance drives we found, and payed the required toll to go the opposite way of Golden. Whoops. I was laughing, it was a wonderful afternoon. A call to Mom-star not only confirmed our faulty direction, but also produced an invitation for Lance to join us. We made it on time.
The table was full, fine company, I enjoyed it. Tim’s fee-yawn-say Cora was there, Tim’s long time buddy Brian was there. (and Lance, Mom, Dad, and I.) After dinner we all watched a bad movie, but it was a nice break. Lance and I went over to Steve’s house where about six more familiar, now college, faces were. Enjoying myself, but remembering how quick some people can get on my nerves I was glad to see Steve, Lance and I depart separate than the others sit down with my family (and Tim’s pose.) Made it back to Golden sometime.
Thanksgiving was the usual. Friday night was spent in a place in Winter Park with my parents and Tim and Cora playing dominos and speed scrabble. This morning Sara and his husband TJ drove up and joined us in Christmas tree cutting. To everyone’s (exciting) surprise we found some great trees and such in good time.
I guess I really wanted to note how much I enjoy the company of my good friends. It really makes my day, night or week or something like that. Thank you guys. I thought there would be a cooler, more entertaining or something neater to say. Maybe I’ll figure out that later.
Happy holidays everyone, enjoy your company, and thanks for caring.

Weblog. Wog. Blog. Neglected again; like a nice banana left out in the cold. (I happen to do that last night.)
I’ve kept myself pretty busy.
Wednesday
AWESOME Matthew Nathanson concert with Lance, where we meet up with Kevin B, Adam Spon, Brian Cerc, Andrew Ol, and such. It was such a great show.
Watch the video. It is not compressed, so REALLY large, but if you can handle it, I can handle it. =-)
Thursday
-big chem test. I think I did pretty well. I have to of done pretty well. If not, I get to take the class again.
-After the test the school had free tickets to the movie theatre, so a bunch of kids and I went to see Napoleon Dynamite. What an entertaining, off key, movie. The drama to that was I think the school only picked up 100 tickets, leaving kids who showed up 5 minutes after they started handing the tickets out, out of luck. Oh and I believe 10 kids received MIPs in Weaver Towers. I love idiots. (I’m just joking, I don’t. I should, but I don’t.)
Friday
Don’t recall too much Friday fun. Shad and I enjoyed Friday Afternoon Club’s comedian, and followed that up with some dinner. The evening concluded with a wonderful snow storm and a movie at Lance’s suite.
Saturday
I made my way to littleton where I joined MIke Oer, Chris Mul, and Aric Holm, they were just hanging out. The evening concluded there with some amazing sledding down the giant hill on Kipling and Ken Caryl. Spent the night at my house with a promise of a hair cut.
Sunday
Slept though church but picked up Grandma and went to breakfast with the folks. Hair cut!
What would you like to hear about?
