Boring retelling of the last few days.
Wednesday, December 1st, 2004Yesterday after starting my tuesday by typing up a long report for my earth systems class, I toured the campus finding my calc professor and advisor, and made it to the Registar. I didn’t have the joy of taking the third calculus exam. It was a lot of stress removed, I got quite a bit done last night. I spoke with Professor Strong for a moment, and I am going to keep attending these last two weeks of class as if I am still a student. Next semester should be cake. I hope.
The pictures you saw bellow were from Sunday night. I was expecting dinner to be served after thanksgiving break, but turns out the cafeteria didn’t open until Monday. I was talking to Hunter online and a few of them had ordered pizza to the dorms. Now the scene outside was LOTS of deep snow, coming down fast. Luke had parked behind the bug, so I decided to just take the safari. The streets were very very slick. I had learned once in the van, don’t try to turn it around (we’ll unless you’re pullin 180°s.) I had gravity help me get out of the snow dift that the plow had built around my car parked on the street, and backed down the hill to where it turns.
Don’t care to bore you with details. For a while we were just hangin’ out. Lance and Greg showed up, as they made it back to Golden from far away Colorado planes thanksgiving break. The main event of the night turned out to be sledding. I had my coat and gloves for the drive, but happened to only be wearing my extremely vented tennis shoes. During our three hour sledding extravaganza ( love that over used word, anything can be an extravaganza) I was amazed to return with dry socks! My proposal is that it was soo cold, that say my horrible circulation could not heat up the packed snow around my ankle. It was all good fun.
Oh the other adventure. Monday nights usually mean a bunch of us go to Woody’s pizza, I decided it would be a decent ’study break’ from my lousy earth systems paper. So diner was alright, turned into what that clique seems base itself, skiing and skiing. “dude, 40″ of blah blah powder” we should do dod o. The fun of that night was when Neil and Lance joined me at my house on our new sofa’s for some studying and we chatted and were partially productive. I think they checked out of my abode around 1.
Just sitting in the library, chatting with daniel, burning a few hours between classes. I think lunch is next on my list of activities for the day. Wish me luck.
