Best Review of my Site EVER

Thursday, November 24th, 2005

Whenever I’m down in the dumps…feeling a little under the weather, I can always depend on the wonderful world of mattmatteson.com. Honestly, Where else can you go to find mac/technology updates….learn Physics terms you never knew (or at least were able to block out sometime post-high school)…get a movie review WITH the added bonus of knowing the names of a multitude of others who saw the same movie (in the event that cross-checking references is necessary)…hear the results from the latest pumpkin tossing events (fully equiped with an original theme song)…learn about the inner workings of every Matteson vehicle…and, of course, my personal favorite: hear about the shennanigans, tom-foolery, and goings on of the legenday and precious Matt Mattteson himself.
Matt, You rock my world!

Jaclyn, You rock, and make me smile.

Thanksgiving coming soon

Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005

Thanksgiving. I think any time we have classes off is Thanksgiving. I’ve got calc today, and then data structures tomorrow then done for the week.

Today my goal is to get ahold of Randy, pay him for my bug motor, and get ahold of the guy with the roof rack and pick that up. I guess if I really want to be productive I could see if I could find some ski boots (and find the bottom of my bank account.)

Who know Calc II sequences and series? Test in 7 days, I’m worried.

Way too bright

Thursday I was up skiing with kevin D, Shane H, and Bryce. I lost the coolest thing to ever happen to me. My bright orange sunglasses.

*Moment of silence*

I had found the glasses in my house. I can only hope the next person that finds them has as good of luck as I did with them.

Thank you.

Now enjoy the gallery of photos that captures the many faces of the sun glasses.

Bug to do?

Friday, November 18th, 2005

I just got back from the mechanic. I found possibly a motor to put in my bug, and took it to my mechanic to take a look. It didn’t have everything on it, so he couldn’t fire it up and listen to it, but did do a compression check. 0 compression in cylinder 1. Hrm. Options
1. Fix my engine. Pro: might be cheap now ~$300 Con: smaller 1500cc single port, has been coaxed along for a long while, and not sure how many miles it will have left.
2. Fix engine I am looking at buying. Net cost would prob be around $500. $250 for motor, $100 for heads/rings $150 labor. Pro: more power (more displacement, better exhaust) possibly a lot more miles left on it, have my engine as a whole set of spare parts, I get to learn while the ‘garage mechanic’ does the work. Con; Might not be any better, might be lower quality workmanship
3. Buy rebuilt engine from my mechanic and have it installed for $950. Pro; more power, professionally done Con; Cost, I learn nothing about cars
4. Cry.
5. ????
