Buena Vista

Me, Doug, Nick, Joe
Let me give you a little catch up on things. Last week was pretty killer, and spring break. I started early and ditched class Friday to go skiing at Breck. On Saturday Nick, Doug and I drove up to visit Joe and his wife up in Buena Vista, spent the night up there and really enjoyed. While in Buena Vista I was still plotting a destination for Spring Break. I really had to leave the state.

Pictures start on Page 1.

Texas

A floor in another state was selected. Maggie’s place in Forth Worth Texas! I got home around I think 5 PM, and after talking to the parents decided I couldn’t wait to leave CO, as a pretty hefty snow storm was moving in. Alex and I rolled down to Littleton at around 7 and swapped cars. Drove through the crazy snow and rain in dad’s Mazda6.

Pictures on pages 2-9.

Texas involved lots of girls, and lots of free food. I can’t say I could have asked for anything more. We stayed in Maggie’s dorm room, which was pretty funny. She has some AMAZING friends, which lead to some great outings. Moments were created that I thought only lived in my most passionate dreams; like eating chocolate molten cake from Chili’s from two plates, sharing with two girls on each side of me. Yah- it was all magic.

We went to one of maggie’s lectures, I think there were 9 guys, and um 150 girls. To all the TCU girls, thank you so much, Ya’ll are really great and know how to take care of guests. Thank you!

The texas adventure concluded with the drive back, leaving late after a birthday dinner at chili’s. We made it back to Littleton around 10 AM. We got back a few hours late as we didn’t quite look at the map on the way back. Apparently you should head NW from Fort Worth to get to denver and not just West. Also! When one driver wakes up the other sleeping driver to trade shifts, make sure you get on the right road. Apparently there is a 287 and an 87. I found myself 110+ miles east of I-25, that added a few minutes to the drive.

Fort Collins

Saturday I loaded up the bug and drove to Fort Collins. I meet up with Mr. Steven himself, and hung out with him and his housemates. There was a ‘miniparty’ at his house, then we went to another party. It was rather /blah/ but was good to hang with steve, and also got to see Kevin Rath. Oh, and got some games of foosball in. I had a bike race at 8 AM, so got up early for that Sunday. Yah, um, I got there 10 minutes after registration closed, to late to race, and they wouldn’t let me race with the faster group unless I wanted to upgrade for the season. I just watched the race, and after a great breakfast with Grandma went and raced USCF at 2 PM. I didn’t race, but more rode, it was a 1.1 mile crit for 45 miles. I enjoyed it. Grandma treated steve and I to dinner at Red Lobster, then we went to The Fray concert.

Mini Fray Story

The Fray concert was pretty good. Since we were coming from dinner we were not in the first 1200 people to show up to be down in front, but up in the stands. After sitting for a while I saw Colin, my brother’s-wife’s-brother and with some good hand signals met him outside of the entrance to the front. As he shook our hands he slipped us some wrist bands and says "lets go to the restroom" there we acted covert as we tried to put on these wrist bands that were not supposed to be wore twice. The show was a lot better up close, there were a few trouble causing kids, but I dealed. Back in Golden for 8 AM Monday morning class.

I AM IN TEXAS! THIS IS AWESOME! I made it out of the state, Alex and I left Colorado for a Texas Mission Sunday night. The snow was moving in, and boy was it coming down sunday night. We drove straight through a bit of snow and a lot of rain.

I’m visiting my favorite super awesome maggie moret. She’s at Texas Christian University, and have just returned from their spring break. Wow though, they have a pretty rockin fun time down here. Today I had 4 meals, ice cream break and THEN late late night super 4 Chocolate Molten Cakes at Chili’s Wow this is neat. I’ll say more soon, but I guess we are leaving the lib.
