Fuel Pump- Resolved

Friday, June 30th, 2006

Fuel pump for the bug was installed late Wednesday night. The hardest part is the little nut on the back of the pump that your hand, your wrench, your socket set CANNOT get to; wrestled that for quite a while, but I think I got it snug.

I’ll take a picture, the contrast of cleanliness is pretty good from the new pump verse the rest of the dirty motor.

Golden Lunch?

Thursday, June 29th, 2006

I’ll be in Golden around 2 PM, anyone care to meet up for lunch? Call the cell.

I think I’m going to go try a late night fuel pump install, picked one up tonight before picking my parents and grandparents up from the airport.

Fuel Pump

Wednesday, June 28th, 2006

Driving home from church and lunch on Sunday the bug let me down. The one day I forget my cell phone my bug is stuck on the side of the road. Turns out the fuel pump stopped working. A stranger stopped and let me use their cell phone, Tim towed me home. I have an electric pump around, I think I’ll try to install it tomorrow. Question is how to cap off the old pump, and where/how to mount the new one.
