Busy but fun. Class was done at 11 AM. That left time for Foosball with Chris; time for a lazy fun lunch at Tequilas; time for hanging out with greg; time for dinner with the parents; time for grilling burgers for your friends; time for a movie. That was my day. Heck- today was the first day of a math class since high school that I didn’t feel like the dumbest person on earth. We did the same example like 15 times, with slightly different numbers. I dig that.

The movie was Invincible. I enjoyed it, bel mar has student tickets for $7; that’s a bit more reasonable than a lot of places. It was another football movie, but it will help me get up tomorrow at 7:30 AM to go riding with Alex and Topher.

Tomorrow I think I am going to the moonlight classic. I’d love your company. Last year I just ‘joined in’ and road recreationally. It was awesome to see all the crazy people in their costumes for the costumes contest. (My fav’ was a guy with an awesome leather cap, crazy goggles, and a bike built up as a biplane.) A bunch of people start in the first heat and finish in the last heat, pub crawling or just crashing at the rest stops where they have food and bands.

Details here.

Summer is over.

Cows on the Road Trip (Photo taken in Crested Butte)
Done with the first day of classes. Only one class; Phys 2 (ELECTROMGNT/OPTICS). It was a quick class so I was ok with that. We simply took a test that looked something like the final. I guessed pretty well, but when I was solving the problems it was more of a “If I wrote this question the answer would prob be this or that.”

So far I’ve run into a lot of good friends, and met a bunch of cool people. Stopped in the bike shop where alex is working to have them fix my FSA-400 rear wheel, it was missing a spoke since I bought it. I think alex is picking me up a replacement bike like, after the episode of the one I bought at the beginning of summer.

Summer gone? School here? What?!

Back in Littleton. The adventure was great, can’t believe school is coming up so soon (Tuesday.) Sunday I am heading up to Ft Collins for a family reunion, but hoping I can get back and get some moving done. I might be looking for some help on Monday to move, I’ll be on my own. Wow; Summer, I enjoyed our time together.

On the way into town tonight to return some things I had borrowed, I meet up with 3 different groups of friends. I had a great time at all three stops, I think Golden is where I am supposed to be this semester. That’s a good feeling.

Tuesday night - Fairplay at my parent’s cabin
Wednesday night - camping in Crested Butte
Thursday night - Norwood

Riding was awesome in Crested Butte, we road two different rides on the Upper Loop. It left from the ski area and dropped into town, then we road the free shuttle up to the car.

I have kept the GPS unit on the hole time. Get Google Earth (free), download the file bellow and play with it, I will post a more ‘cleaned up’ version later. (This will show you EVERY where the car has driven.) The problem is it broke the log into every time the GPS lost signal, which includes when we picked it up while driving and it couldn’t get a signal through the roof of the car, if that makes sense. So here’s part 1, version 1. (Geo-tagged photos coming soon.)

KMZ (Google Earth) file of the road trip.

Tomorrow we are going to go catch the free lift at Telluride for some more biking.
