This last weekend I tried my legs at something a little different; my first mountain bike event. It was a camping adventure in Nathrop, CO. I left Friday evening as I was in the first race Saturday morning. I rode up with Paul, a kid I meet simply by calling about 6 guys trying to get a ride that would leave early enough to get to my race. The summary is I raced in the Short Track event in Mens C and placed 2nd, and raced in the Mens C Cross Country race and placed 2nd. I had a blast and the trails were very kind to my roadie nature. There were large lengths of trail where I just spun up the bike like on the road and let the suspension take the beating.
Speaking of the bike, I owe a huge thank you to Darren, my future boss at Apple. I meet him for lunch Friday before I left (the second time every meeting him,) I had to explain why I was so flakey on wether I could meet him for lunch or not. (I didn’t know who I was riding up with and when they were leaving.) He offered me the use of his bike for the weekend, the first time we meet we talked about this new bike. I couldn’t deny such a sweet offer. Let’s just say that after racing on his bike I’m seriously shopping right now for a real mountain bike.
I meet a bunch of new folks from mines, I learned quite a bit about mountain bike racing, enjoyed camping in my (somewhat) new sleeping bag. I had an awesome weekend!
Ok, so more stories, 2 on locations are on their way, but to hold you off here are the photos.

Diff Eq test tomorrow. That means I won’t get around to posting pictures and videos from this weekend’s bike racing until tomorrow night. The weekend was great, wish me luck on the test.
Today I was working on some homework in the library when I was startled by a noise. A noise that made me fear for my life and look for a weapon to protect myself. It was a crazy man’s sneeze. As I tried to explain it do Bodi on AIM I decided to record it, so here is about 15 minutes worth of CRAZY sneezing combined to a 36 second display of loco.
