Survived

Sunday, April 29th, 2007

I survived my Portland trip for work, and my 19 hour road trip to Grand Junction to race. Dad meet me in Golden and was my co-pilot, we left Golden at 12:40 AM. Bad news about nationals; Air Force most likely overtook us with points. I was happy with how I raced though.

Time to make up for a deficit of sleep and figure out how I’m getting all my homework done.

Free adventure to Grand Junction

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

I am going to grand junction for cycling conference finals. If I don’t race on Sunday I can’t go to nationals.

My plane gets in to DIA at 11:30 PM Saturday, the race is at 10:50 AM Sunday. If you would like a free road trip with me (in the sexy Mazda 6, I’d leave golden ~12:30 AM or 6:30 AM. Back to Golden Sunday afternoon. Send me an email.

(8 folks from mines are going, but they are leaving on Friday and racing in the races on Saturday as well.)

3/24/07 CSU bike race (Crash Video)

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

Here’s a video my sister caught at the CSU race. It has me racing past (yellow bike, blue jersey, red/white helmet) a crash that includes a team mate of mine, Shayne. Click Download to watch in full size.

The CSU race had a bunch of crashes. I think the B’s race had one other crash. (Shayne lost some skin, the one in the yellow helmet and mines jersey, but got back up and finished well.) The A’s race had 3 bad crashes. I’ll have to get better carnage footage next year.

Also here are two photos of me racing at CSU.

Photos!

Tuesday, April 24th, 2007

Heads up! I am sorry for the bipolar style of posting, but I have uploaded a few sets of photos I would love to share.

I’m going to post about each set of photos individually.

To start us off, there are a few pictures hiding on page 3 of the batch I uploaded on the 23rd of this month.

a little mud from mountain biking
Nate and I went riding last Tuesday, after it had rained Monday. (As you can tell in the photo, there was a bit of mud.) It was a good ride up at Lair O’ The Bear. It was my first time to the trail, I love how many cool adventures are so close to Golden. The ride was plenty of ascending at first on the way out, then rolling with elevation gain. This provided a fun ride back. I had one wreak where I didn’t know then, but now after feeling it for a week, hurt my knee pretty well.

Lance, Brandon
Last Friday felt good. It was a summer day, I didn’t have my class at 10 AM so was on campus with no obligations from 9 AM until 2 PM. I had a long shooting the breeze session and wandered down to Quiznos for lunch with about 5 others who I never have lunch with. Much Appreciated.

Me and Brandon as a Polar Bear
Earlier in the day on Friday, during my hours of nothing I found Brandon in a bear costume. He had tried to trick me into such duty and resisted, yet was somehow manipulated to hand out fliers for a cause I didn’t care for. (Thus hand out wasn’t quite what I ended up doing.) At least I got to hang out with a cool polar bear while I had no backbone.
