Gear for a cold ride

This is the gear I put on for a ride this morning with Shuan. View the photo page to see the notes for the image. For a cold school day in January I put an impressive amount of cycling in. Shaun and I rode outside in the morning along the clear creek trail. There was a few sketchy snow/ice sections, but was a great ride. Even with my double gloves my fingers were reqesting a retreat home for the first hour. Even with my double socks my feet cried to to get home for the last 40 minutes. My stomach joined in the complaing with about 15 minutes left, saying a bowl of ceral wasn’t enough for the trek.

Roller Party!
After my classes, I joined the team for a rollers/trainer party. In the Student Rec Center the team meets up on Tuesday and Thursdays to ride indoors and watch a movie. Class keeps me from the Tuesday sessions, but Thursdays have been working out. Tonight there were about 9 of us, watching Super Bad.

A good day of winter cycling. Now for the number lovers, a table of data concerning today’s rides.

Snow on the Sidewalk

Between South Table and Lookout Mountain I am committed to my second to last semester at Colorado School of Mines.

Today marked my first full week of class. Scientific Computing, Operating Systems, Database Management, Life Stories, Marketing for Tech Based Companies, and Cycling. (Yes I do get half a credit for PA for riding my bike. Yes that’s PA not PE, PE is Petroleum Engineering at this school.)

The schedule is starting to become a routine. A large concern is currently placed in the fact that my Marketing course takes place at 5-7:30, yet my bowling league starts at 7.

Home.

Donald watched our car while we sleptJust walked in from a road trip to California and Arizona that felt like 2 days, but I am pretty sure it wasn’t.

The twitter updates started with At Lance’s, “planning” tomorrow’s road trip. Anyone in San Diego have a floor to offer?. They are an entertaining read.

We had some mobile uploads with photos posted to facebook. Learn about our last minute rider, Donald, we picked up in Rifle. (Who didn’t pay a dime to the community gas fund.)

Photos from real camera will be soon, first sleep, then food. School starts Wednesday. =/
