Camping, and a Friday
Summer is, as always, flying past. I love it! The picture above is from Camping with Kory and Tanner. That is Tanner’s Jeep, named Oprah, which before the weekend hadn’t left the pavement. Now Oprah is a real jeep, broken in by the trails near Guanella Pass near George Town. See all the camping pictures.
I’m digging my choice of not accepting a real internship this summer. Friday is a great example of WHY I can’t get excited about a 9-5. I woke up around 10:30, read and worked until around 12:15. Phil asks if I want to join him for lunch. A few calls later I’ve got 4 others in my car as we head to meet Phil and Ryan at Tokyo Joe’s for the $5 lunch special. Lance and Matt peel off, as Phil, Davy, Pat and I head to the theater to watch Wall-E. The movie was a good laugh, and I loved the hints of 2001 A Space Odyssey. Rolling out of the theatre we stop in the Yard House for happy hour. Leaving happy and full I’m back at my house with Lance and Phil. Lance had declined the Yard House offer so he was looking for some food a bit later. 12:30 am after a stop by Safeway, the Liquor store, the back porch with tasty brat, the living room couches, it was a good time to call it a night. I’d say it was a good Lunch.
(In all fairness to a 9-5; I did spend more than I made Friday, but, that’s not true for the overall week and the whole week was this good.)
