In the capital of the Dominican Republic we met up with all of the local Peace Corp volunteers, with the goal of saving a few pesos we found a taxi that would let us pack.

Two hours until I catch flight AA1901 to Santa Domingo with Steve D and Zach G. We’re off to catch up with our friend Jeff Wahl who’s living there for his term in the Peace Corp.

We’ll be there for Carnival – which I hear will be quite the event.

The photo is from the iPhone while landing in Miami. I’m also typing this entry on my phone as Miami International offers only paid wifi – weak.

I don’t think I’ll be online a whole lot this week – am going to put the phone in airplane mode for the next 10 days. So, to keep with my 2009 photo project I’ll keep taking at least a photo a day, but unable to upload every day,instead I’ll post them when I’m back in town.

While I might have taken the month of January off of blogging , I’ve still been creating. Since Jan 1st, I have been uploading at least a photo a day to brightkite. The easiest way to stay up on just the photos is by watching my Flickr feed.
